# 93 Kids and Reading

Look what I found on the Internet this weekend.

Reading to (and with) your child is one of the most wonderful things you can do as a parent.  Reading opens so many doors.

"So please, oh PLEASE, we beg, we pray,
Go throw your TV set away,
And in its place you can install,
A lovely bookshelf on the wall."
- Roald Dahl
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

As a parent, you are your child's first and most important teacher. Enjoy the challenge and the rewards.

Enough said!  Hope you take time to read with your child today.

Happy Monday,
Maggie

  1. Same things apply for grandparents -- we can also be a great influence on children by encouraging them to read and by reading to them.
